…Evil spirit made me declare my mother dead, daughter pleads for forgiveness
The occupants of 38 Moore House, Ogui, Enugu State, was thrown into serious confusion on Monday night as a woman declared dead by her daughter appeared in her (daughter’s).
According to reports, Obioma Odoh, a middle aged single mother of 3 from Ikpakpara, Aguamaede in Isi ụzọ local Government Area of Enugu State had earlier in the month March, 2022, told the neighbourhood that her mum was dead and lying at the Eastern Nigeria medical centre, Enugu.
Miss Obioma was smiling to the bank as her story attracted pity from her neighbours that they started making monetary donations to support her bury her mother.
A resident of the area told our correspondent that the lady’s game bursted when her mother, Mrs Felicia Odoh came to look for her daughter whom she said she hasn’t heard from in a very long time.
“To cover her track, Obioma denied her mother, insisting that she doesn’t know the woman from Adam.
“Her mother was left in shock and she started shouting for help as her daughter insisted she don’t know her having told her neighbours she’s dead. Her outburst attracted passerby that gave her opportunity to tell her story,” the resident who doesn’t want his name in print said.
Her mother narrated: “I’m not dead as you can see, I am very healthy. I have not seen my daughter since March and I came around to search for her. People should stop seeing me as a ghost because, I am hale and healthy”
The matter we learnt has been reported to Ogui Police station as angry mobs were gathering to pounce on her for deceiving them.
JOURNALIST101 reliably gathered that Miss Obioma is in cohort with her father as neighbours that went on clandestine visit to Mr. Odoh were told that the woman is dead.
The mother of Three reportedly denied all her three daughters too and has been alleged to be notorious for blackmail of men living in the area.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one of the residents of Moore House Street described the lady as “a wicked soul.”
He stated that, “she makes a living by blackmailing the street guys and because of her innocent look, people do support her.
“Obiọma is evil. This is a girl who once accused 4 innocent guys of raping her and made the guys to pay her a sum of ₦500,000 compensation because, they didn’t want to wear the toga of rapists in the eyes of the public that never wants to hear them out.
“She has denied all her daughters and have even collected money from people around, to prepare her mum’s funeral and with the recent discovery, we have decided to send her out of the street because, she is evil and heartless.”
When interviewed by our correspondent, Miss Obioma agreed that she declared her mother dead while publicly pleading for forgiveness from her mother.
She stated that, she was hypnotised by a strange spirit which has even made her to be beating her daughter, who is above 13 years.
