Peter Obi running mate

…Says, Labour Of Our Heroes Past Not In Vain

Naija Progressives Arise Network(NPAN), an organization of like-minded progressive Nigerians and matured professionals in their various fields who have genuine political interest and crave for good governance and credible leadership across the country, after exhaustive deliberations and considerations regarding the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Election and the candidates that have emerged from the various parties have come to the conclusion that Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party remains the best option for Nigeria, to ensure that the “Labours of our heroes past shall not be in vain”

We salute the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar, for speaking out, on behalf of organized Labour in Nigeria, to express their support for Mr. Peter Obi’s candidature. We urge Nigerian masses to toe the same line since the political elites merely use ethno-religious sentiments to divide the masses whereas they unite across ethnic, religious and party lines to loot our common patrimony. In fact, “hunger has no tribe or religion since the face of a hungry Ịgbọ man is not different from that of a hungry Fulani or Hausa or Yoruba or Tiv or Ijaw man”

For the avoidance of doubt, the 2023 Presidential Election is very critical and shall make or mar Nigeria, if Nigerians fail to rise above ethno-religious sentiments to “Take back Nigeria” from the vicious grip of the kleptomaniac and unpatriotic political elites.
Since the APC and PDP have chosen to give Nigerians “integrity challenged old men” as presidential flag bearers, Nigerians regardless of ethnic and religious sentiments should rally round Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, owing to his antecedents and outstanding achievements as Anambra State Governor.
Indeed, Peter Obi represents a breath of fresh air and a departure from the usual “Politics of Stomach Infrastructure”. As a man who saw tomorrow, he boldly left the PDP rather than soil his good name by partaking in the “Dollar Bazaar” that took place during the party’s primary.

After decades of squandermania and rape of the Nigerian treasury, in turn, by both the PDP and the APC, Nigerian youths and other concerned citizens are tired of both parties which they see as being “two sides of one coin”, Peter Obi’s so called “frugality” is a much needed antidote to turn Nigeria’s economy from “consumption to production”.

Evidently, corruption is Nigeria’s biggest challenge, leading to misplaced priorities, insecurity and a stunted economy. Noteworthy is President Muhammadu Buhari’s unilateral $100M grant to Afghanistan whereas Nigerian students are at home due to ASUU strike.

There is no difference, none whatsoever between the APC and the PDP, since from their dollarized conventions, they have shown that they are insincere about fighting corruption.

Finally, judging from his antecedents, all sincere Nigerians believe him and see him as a saviour. That accounts for the sudden surge in the number of new registrands in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as the youths organize themselves at great personal costs and sacrifices, to prove that their superior fire power on social media can be converted to real votes through their PVCs, to salvage their beloved country, Nigeria.
