•Sets to launch structures across 17 LGAs and 260 council wards
Ahead of Enugu 2023 general elections, Coalition for Equity and Good Governance (CEGG), has commenced grassroot mobilization of supports for the governorship flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah.
The coalition which stated that Barr. Mbah remains the best governorship candidate any political party can produce, noted that “the flag-bearer is someone whose hands transform anything it touches to golds.”
According to the Director General of the group, Comrade Gerald Obasi, who spoke in Enugu on Wednesday, he said “the state is blessed to have the former Chief of staff to Enugu State government and successful oil mogul as candidate of peoples Democratic Party, in the February, 2023 general elections.”
Obasi, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that Mbah is “perhaps, the best prepared for the job and that Enugu people are solidly behind his Candidature.
“As a group, we have commenced grassroot mobilization for Barr. Peter Mbah across the 260 wards of Enugu state. And very soon, we shall be unveiling our programs to the public.
“The former chief of staff to Enugu state government and oil magnate, is unarguably, the best thing that has happened to the state.
“…And we are glad with the leadership of our great party in the state, ably led by His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for reaching out for the man with the midas touch.
The Director, however, thanked the governor of the state for bequeathing the state with the best legacy, by leading the charge as leader of the party that produced Barr. Mba as Flag-bearer.
“The governor has bequeathed the state with the best legacy ever. Barr. Mbah is the best parting gift from Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
“He is someone we know too well…Anything he touches turns to gold.
Obasi further stated that with Barr. Mbah, “the massive infrastructural deposit of the incumbent governor across Enugu communities would be taken a notch higher.”
“The Flag-bearer is capable of moving the state forward; especially, building on the massive infrastructural deposits of the incumbent governor across Enugu communities;” the Director concluded.
