Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group Flagged Off In Enugu

Ahead of the 2023 general election and to ensure the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Foundation Members and leaders of the party from all parts of Enugu have flagged of the leaders of the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group.

Briefing newsmen after their inaugural meeting at the office in Enugu on Wednesday, the immediate past Chairman of Enugu APC, Dr. Ben Nwoye said the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group is a child of necessity and part of the “decision of the various support groups that helped for the emergence of Asiwaju Tinubu as our presidential flagbearer. They agreed to merge the over 5000 support groups into one group that will be known as ‘Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group’ and today is the inaugural meeting of Enugu State chapter.”

Nwoye who’s also a member of the Think Tank/Resource Group of Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation told newsmen that after the meeting of all Tinubu Support groups in Enugu and from all the 17 Local Government Areas “resolved to merge all the support groups in Enugu to Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group, Enugu State chapter.

“We resolved to support to all candidate of our great party; APC from house of Assembly to the presidency and we shall campaign for them to win the upcoming election.”

The Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group also condemned the “planned suspension of the Coordinator of Igbokwenu for Asiwaju and Minister of Foreign Affairs for supporting Asiwaju campaign by the factional chairman, Ugochukwu Agballa, who has resolved to shutdown anyone that forms a group in support of Tinubu/Shettima.”

Nwoye further stated that they’re aware that Ugo Agballa never supported the emergence of Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate and condemned his (Ugo Agballa) his working for Atiku.

“We’ve also resolved to alert Tinubu Campaign Council that Agballa is working for PDP Presidential candidate to undermine the success of Tinubu/Shetima candidacy in the 2023 election.

“We further resolved to unite the party in Enugu for Tinubu/Shettima presidency. On this note, we have resolved to contact our leaders and enjoin them to join hands and garner vote for our presidential candidate. We shall put together a committee that will contact our top leaders such as Sen. Ken Nnamani, HE Sullivan Chime, Sen. Ayogu Eze, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Barr. Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku and other top leaders as well as those that have contested in the previous election in the state to come back to Enugu and support the party to garner votes for other candidates.”
