The Christain Association of Nigeria (CAN) Enugu state chapter is set to hold a one day prayer rally in tagged: “WATCH AND PRAY”
Set to grace the occasion as a special guest of Honour is the Governor of Enugu state, His Excellency Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The Guest Preacher:
Rt. Rev. Engr. Sosthenes Ikechukwu Eze, Anglican Bishop of Enugu North Diocese.
The host of the programme, Rev. Amb. Emmanuel Ositadinma Edeh, while speaking to newsmen on Sunday, said that the event will be one of a kind and also emphasised on the need for prayers for our Nation in these times of insecurities and the current economic struggle.
Ambassador Edeh who also doubles as the state Chairman of Pilgrim Welfare Board stressed on the need for all and sundry to embrace God, especially in times like this when prayer is imperative for a better Nigeria.
This prayer event will be graced by the presence of highly respected men of God from Enugu State and beyond such as: The bloc leader of Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) and the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev Dr CVC Onaga, The bloc leader of Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) and the Archbishop of Methodist Archdiocese of Enugu, His Grace, Most Rev Barr Christopher N Ede, The bloc leader of Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria/Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN/PFN), Bishop Dr Godwin Madu, The bloc leader of Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Super Apostle Engr Andick Egwuatu. The bloc leader of Tarayyar Ekklisiyoyin Kristia Nijeria/Evangelical Church of Winning all (TEKAN/ECWA) Rev Dr Egelonu Obinali.
Other Fathers of Faith include:- The former Zonal CAN Chairman and the Anglican Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Most Rev Dr E O Chukwuma OON.
Former state Chairmen;
Bishop Emeritus Anthony Gbuji, Archbishop Ogo, Rev Prof Paul Emeka, Bishop Dr CC Obiefuna, Fathers of faith like, Bishop Dr Obi Onubogu and a host of other notable servants of God and other christian faithfuls.
Also the Chairperson, Women Wing of CAN (WOWICAN) Enugu State. Barr. Mrs Avah and the Chairman Youth Wing of CAN Enugu State (YOWICAN) Brother Samuel Anih are among the expected dignitaries at the prayer rally.
This annual event being organised by the association for several years is always open for everyone who believes in the power of prayers.
The event is slated for 25th of August, 2022 and will be taking place at the popular Okpara Square Enugu by 10AM.
