Following the huge success recorded during the first batch, the Enugu SME Centre is ready to train another set of youths in the technology world.
The Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on SMEs Development and Director General, Enugu SME Centre, Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, said like in the first batch, the participants will have the opportunity of enrolling for either programming or product design (UI/UX) classes.
He said the training is in line with the thought of Governor Ugwuanyi that: “Technology will continue to drive change in the workplace, and for one to be a game-changer, one must be able to use technology to solve everyday problems. With this initiative, the Enugu SME Centre is giving the youth an edge, starting now.
“The core of the work that I do as the Governor is to help people of the Enugu state thrive and excel,” and this is the mission of this program.
Hon. Offiah while commenting further on the training said: “Technology is advancing at a very rapid pace and that is why it has become a fundamental necessity for you to acquire a Tech skill, starting now.
“Human capital development is important in improving and enhancing the quality of life of the people as well as the private sector ecosystem”. Through this program and partnership, you will get to learn a high-income skill that will give you the platform to thrive in today’s digital-first world, become innovative entrepreneurs and strategic valuable assets to Enugu State and the international community at large.
The DG of Enugu SME Centre also stated that the amazing opportunity is for Ndi Enugu to swiftly make that career switch into Tech, while revealing that: “With our advanced curriculum and teachers, who are experts, in the field, you are guaranteed to be set on a path to becoming a Tech Expert.”
