Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze on 19th August, marked his birthday with Widows in his Constituency.
Rt. Hon. Obieze who represents Ezeagu Constituency at Enugu State House of Assembly started this culture since 2012, long before entering politics.
According to him, “what we’re doing today is a culture we started a decade ago. This isn’t because we have too much but a demonstration of our burning desire to serve our people.
“The widows and their welfare is dear to us and as their representative in the House of Assembly, all the twenty political wards in Ezeagu are represented. We will continue to do this as long as heaven permits,” he concluded.
The lawmaker who’s also the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ezeagu Constituency shared Rice, wrappers and cash gifts to the widows numbering over 200.
Ikechukwu Ezugwu the Majority leader of Enugu State House of Assembly in his goodwill message, said Obieze’s good heart and intentions knows no bound.
The 3rd term lawmaker who declined seeking reelection, said he’s very happy that someone like Chima Obieze is returning to the house because he’s a great asset to lawmaking and Enugu State.
He said Obieze is an astute lawmaker that should be supported by all to go back to the state House of Assembly because he has a great role to play in the House.
Hon. Osita Ngwu, Enugu West Senatorial zone candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his remark, thanked Rt. Hon. Obieze for the initiative (celebrating with the widow) to mark his birthday for several years.
Hon. Ngwu popularly known as RG, thanked God for blessing the state with people like Obieze and himself that derive joy in looking out for the less privileged and appreciated the widows for their support to Obieze.
He also promised to lend a hand of support to the widows in the place and assured he will continue to identify with them..
Similarly, Hon. Chuks Agu, the Managing Director of Enugu State Housing Corporation said Obieze is blessed with wisdom by God and they’re here because of the respect they have for the lawmaker and also because of his sterling quality and love for humanity.
He prayed to God to continue blessing him because he’s people oriented and God’s blessings to him will be reflected on the people.
On a lighter note, he enjoined the lawmaker to remember the widowers because they also need help.
Barr Emeka Ozoagu, the former Chairman of Ezeagu local government said Obieze has a very unique quality which he started demonstrating even before his voyage into politics. He promised to extend his support to the widows.
