Dr. Ben Nwoye, the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu State, has donated his private residence in the coal city to the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group.
The residence which is located at No 7 Akpugo Street, Independence Layout Enugu, Nwoye said will serve as an operational base of all grassroot movements in the state.
Our focus is to target the grassroot and ensure that we garner more votes for Tinubu-Shettima in Enugu State.
“In this office, we’re going to have a call centre from where we will reach out to the 184,000 members that were registered in the party during the last registration exercise.
“As a former Chairman of the party and a grassroot politician, we’ll reach those people on behalf of Tinubu/Shettima and remind them why they have to work hard for our Presidential ticket on 2023.”
Dr. Nwoye who’s also a Federal Commissioner representing South East zone in the Federal Consumer Competition Protection Commission (FCCPC) said their party has done exceedingly well for the youths and “we will remind them about these good deeds that will be upheld by the Tinubu-Shettima Presidency.
“We understand that there are challenges but we have done things that touched the youths. This administration increased the allowance of National Youth Service Corp members, enrolled thousands of youths that are unemployed into the Npower programmes. Our school feeding programme is still on and a lot of micro businesses received the trader money.”
Nwoye also said that Enugu benefited greatly in terms of infrastructure and has every reason to support the party.
“Myself, the road that leads to my home country; the Agbani Road, was built by the APC administration. The road stretches through to Ebonyi State. What about the Enugu international airport? APC made it better.”
