Following series of meeting with the Federal Government, the Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has decided to extend its ongoing strike.
The decision to extend the strike was taken after a meeting of the National Executive Council at the union’s headquarters at the University of Abuja, which started in the late hours of Sunday and ended on Monday morning.
The industrial action which started on Monday, February 14, 2022 has kept students at home for about 196 days.
The union is yet to address the general public on the issue.
