Chelsea Football Club have on Wednesday parted company with Head Coach Thomas Tuchel after last night’s defeat of the club in UEFA Champions league game.
Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat by Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night in their first group stage Match.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the club on its website.
In the meantime, the Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and “the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.”
Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel started the season on a shaky note with a humiliating defeat by Leeds United in the English Premier League.
They currently occupy the 6th positions with 10 points after 6 games.
It’s a rash decision, Chelsea has passed through some storm sort of recently. Ownership changed as a result of Russian and Ukrainian war and some players and staff not favourably disposed to such a change left. Now, the season just started with new players who are yet to get their acts together after much efforts bringing them, the coach is sacked. Introducing a new coach to start all over again, is certainly not a good idea. More time for Tuchel would have cured these early wounds of defeats. As it stands, more players are likely to go and new signings will be weighing their actions on a scale of bad and good. The action primes more worsening actions ahead.
