The Department of State Services (DSS) says it has recovered large amounts of money in different currencies and denominations as well as records of financial transactions in Alhaji Tukur Mamu’s residence and office in Kaduna.
Mamu, a terrorist ransom negotiator was intercepted by Nigeria’s foreign partners in Cairo, Egypt on 6th September 2022 while on his way to Saudi Arabia.
He was arrested together with his two wives and sons.
In a terse statement issued on Thursday, the Spokesperson of the secret police, Dr. Peter Afunanya said, “Appropriate security agencies have executed valid search warrants on Mamu’s residence and office.”
During the processes, Dr. Afunanya disclosed that “Incriminating materials including military accoutrements were recovered.”
According to Afunanya, other items recovered from the terrorist negotiator who is also the Publisher of Desert Herald Newspaper, based in Kaduna state include “large amounts in different currencies and denominations as well as financial transaction instruments.
“While further investigations continue, Mamu will, sure, have a day in court.”
The Mamu’s arrest followed a request by Nigeria’s Military, Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community to their foreign partners to bring back Mamu to the country to answer critical questions on ongoing investigations relating to some security matters in parts of the country.
Nigerians have suffered unduly in the hands of their political and other leaders.
Nigerians are now truly wiser and going forward, they wouldn’t vote for such leaders and their political parties again.
No more selling of votes or receiving shishi from clearly deceitful presidential candidates, some of who aren’t agile or fit.
Now we know them and wouldn’t vote for them this time around, no matter how much money they throw around to buy voters, whom they intentionally made poor.
