Anambra Police Command says it has arrested a 26-year-old man that uses charms to defraud Point of Sale (POS) operators within the state capital.
DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the Spokesperson of the command in a terse statement made available to newsmen said the suspect named Chisom Nweke, a native of Umuawulu, Awka, was arrested on today, 15th September, 2022, along Amawbia, round about.
Ikenga said the suspect “confessed to be using charms to defraud Point of Sales operators within Awka and it’s environs.
“Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect cut plain white papers in size of money and give to the operators for deposit.”
Ikenga further stated that “efforts are emplaced to arrest other of his gang members.”
