Five governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) met in Enugu on Sunday, 2nd October, 2022.
The meeting, JOURNALIST101 learnt isn’t unconnected to the February 2023 presidential election.
The governors met behind closed doors and didn’t address the press after the meeting.
However, quoting inside sources, DAILY POST said the discussion centred on how to deliver the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi in 2023.
The Governors are: Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikeazu of Abia State and the host Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The newspaper said the five governors were moved to back Peter Obi’s candidacy because they are not comfortable with the PDP flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.
