Arinze Chilo-Offiah, the Special Adviser to Enugu State Governor on Small Medium Entrepreneurs development, has commenced the training of rural dwellers in ICT.
Through his foundation; ‘The Chilo Foundation’ the Governor’s Aide who’s also the Director General, Enugu SME Centre, started the training commenced the training in his hometown, Umuavulu Community, Abor in Udi LGA, Enugu State.
The training which lasted for 12 weeks was facilitated by Capitis Global Ventures Limited and Blue Technologies Limited.
Hon. Chilo-Offiah said he’s “deeply passionate about improving digital literacy and widening access to digital technology across our community.”
He also disclosed that the first batch of beneficiaries have finished their 12 weeks training.
“Today, we are happy to announce that our first batch of beneficiaries has graduated after the successful completion of their training. Kindly join us in congratulating the Umuavulu youths. Expect more!!
“The training covered core areas such as Introduction to Computer, Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Word Excel, PowerPoint, Google tools i.e, Emails, Google documents, and Calendar. Having a good grasp of these areas guarantees that they are competent enough to work in a digital-enabled space, confidently.
“Much appreciation goes to the instructors and mentors that ensured we pulled through this training, effortlessly.
“Thank you all for your timely support,” he said.
