Funminiyi Afuye, the speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, has reportedly passed on.
Mr Afuye died on Wednesday at the age of 66, according to The Nation, after a brief illness.
He was said to have attended the inauguration ceremony of Biodun Oyebanji, the new governor of the state.
He also reportedly attended plenary on Tuesday before joining his ancestors.
