The Former Technical Director Of The Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) and Olympic Medalist, Engr Chika Chukwumerije has described The Police Compaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) Initiative of the Nigeria Police Force as a Community policing instrument at work.
The Olympic Medalist added that POCACOV needs to be embraced and supported by all and sundry for a functional Community.
Engr. Chukwumerije made this known in Enugu on Monday during his unveiling as an Ambassador of POCACOV, after two days Taekwondo- Our Children Must Thrive Activity in which he exposed invited children taekwondo practitioners to some Taekwondo basics to enlighten them to veritable taekwondo tactics and Technique that will make them thrive.
He Commended the Nigeria police Force on the initiative which he also described as a true reformatory tool and veritable platform for value reorientation for a Greater Community.
“I want to use this medium to commend the entire POCACOV Team all over Nigeria and their National, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, for their untiring efforts. I have gone through the aims and objectives of the Initiative and essentially it’sĀ community sports Activity, and they are all good for a functional community.”
He pledged to work with POCACOV especially on Our Children Must Thrive programme.
In his speech, the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu, thanked him for his decision to identify with Nigeria Police Force through POCACOV.
Amaraizu informed the brand-new Ambassador that POCACOV is the NPF Community Policing Initiative and Public Relations Tool working with different stakeholders and multi Agencies and galvanizing their support and partnership as well as enhancing participation towards problem solving and for a safe, peaceful and secured communities.
