…Ndi Ozo says Amujiogu was one of the spinal cords of Igbo Tradition
For the people of Umuezeani Community, Ameke Ngwo in Udi local government area of Enugu State, the 18th of November, 2022 will always be a memorable day as their traditional prime minister, High Chief A G Amujiogu (Enyikwauzo) was committed to mother earth.
The burial ceremony which was befitting of a man in Enyikwauzo stadlnding commenced with a funeral mass celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church Ngwo. The service was officiated by alleys of Priests among whom is Rev Fr Anselem Onoh; an indigenous priest.
According to his Eldest Son Ozo (Engr) Anthony Amujiogu, Enyikwaa Uzo is an epitome of greatness, hard work and an embodiment of wisdom.
Another of his son who’s also Enugu State Legal Adviser; Ozo Barr Alex Amujiogu (Onataragu), said he has lost one of his greatest source of inspiration and wisdom.
Barr. Amujiogu said his late father’s wisdom endeared him to a lot of persons and through that, he brought stability to their community and prayed God to accept his peaceful soul.
According to him, Ezeudo A.G Amujiogu is a community leader of no mean standard. An apostle of Justice, equity and good conscience. A man who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.
The National President of Nzuko Ozo Ndigbo Nigeria, Ozo Prof Ike Oluka and the National leader of Nzuko Ozo Ndigbo Nigeria, Okpala Eze Chukwuemeka Onyesoh (Oba Agbalanze ) both described Enyikwaa Uzo as one of the spinal cord in the sustenance of Igbo culture and tradition, adding that his death has created a great lacuna in the ministry of culture in Igboland.
The funeral will remain indelible in the historic records of Ngwo Clan and Enugu State in general as it was witnessed by several dignitaries in the political, business, cultural and educational worlds. Among these dignitaries who graced the occasion were Enugu West PDP Senatorial Candidate, Hon Engr Osita Ngwu (RG); Former Chief of Staff to the Enugu State Government and PDP House of Representative Candidate for Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Dr Festus Uzo; Managing Director, Enugu State Housing Development Corporation, Hon Chukwuemelie Agu (Omeogo); Management of Nigerian Breweries Plc led by the Ama Brewery Manager, Mr Peter Ani; Management of 7up Bottling company; Management of Aqua Rapha Investment Ltd.
All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Enugu State Executives was led by their State Chairman and the Apga Enugu West Senatorial Candidate, Hon Ndubuisi Enechionyia to the event.
Others are APGA House of Assembly candidates for Enugu South Urban Constituency, Hon Francis Onyemenam; Enugu North Constituency, Hon Bethel Agu (Nwababy); Bro Leo Onyia, APC House of Assembly Candidate, Udi South Constituency; Ozo Ndigbo Nigeria, Team of Lawyer’s from Esut 99 Law set, Team of Lawyer’s from the Temple of Justice Foundation among others.
Enyikwaa Uzo, until his death,was a Community leader, philanthropist, a Galaxy of ideas and invention.
