Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Enugu State, a foremost youth organisation; Ezeagu Youth Assembly (EYA), have stormed many markets in the council area to educate the market men and women on the right way to vote.
In what they described as “Ezeagu Market women voting awareness tour,” the group visited Orie-owa, Imezi-owa, and Orie Engine, Aguobu Umumba markets.
Speaking on the importance of the sensitization tour, the Coordinator of the group, Miss Ndum Loveth2adc said it seeks to “educate our people living in the rural areas on proper voting techniques so as to totally eradicate the high volume of invalid votes due to a lack of voter education and awareness.”
While gifting them branded Apron, bags, etc, the grouped appealed to them to cast their votes for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. Thus, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for Governor; Engr. Osita Ngwu (RG) for Senate, Enugu West; Rt. Hon. Dr. F.S.A. Uzor For House of Reps Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency and Rt. Hon. Barr. Chima E. Obieze for the State House of Assembly, Ezeagu Constituency.
The visibly excited market women assured the youths of their steadfast and unwavering support for the party in the coming election.
