The report that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has withdrawn from the race for Enugu North Senatorial Zone is a “fake news from the pit of hell”, Says Hon. Steve Oruruo, the Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor on Information.
Oruruo who was responding to a statement by “a shameless online media outfit- Enugu Monitor; an infamous outfit that’s notorious for fake publications against the State Government and guilty of street-level mendacities,” added that the Governor can’t possibly withdraw from a race he has already won for an “unknown quantity.”
The Governor’s Aide whom the fake report that the Governor has withdrawn from the race is attributed to said “I never granted any interview to any person or media Outfit on any election matters whatsoever.
“The public is hereby enjoined to ignore the aforesaid fake news and consider same as a clandestine but fruitless attempt to dissuade unsuspecting electorate.
“The good people of Enugu North Senatorial District are therefore encouraged to come out enmass in line with their unwavering resolve to vote for the amiable Governor of the State and leader of the PDP come Saturday the 25th day of February, 2023.”
