Hon. Johnpaul Anih, the Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Nkanu West constituency, has said that information available to him indicates that his life is under serious threat.
Hon. Anih in a short message to our correspondent, said he’s more scared than ever following the gruesome murder of their Senatorial Candidate, Barr. Oyibo Chukwu about 48 hours ago.
Johnpaul Anih who is one of the favourites for the House of Assembly seat in the 2023 election in Nkanu West under the platform of the Labour Party called on security agencies and well meaning Nigerians to intervene and save his life before the worse befalls him.
He also noted that his Campaign Organization through the Director General, Dr. Ene Nwannaji has written a formal complaint to the Enugu state Commissioner of police with a view to averting another tragedy.
Anih stated that the notice was to alert all Nigerians, his family, friends, colleagues and fellow patriots that his life is under serious threat.
In the letter of complaint signed by the DG of his campaign, Anih’s Campaign DG alleged that “a reliable source hinted our principal that there are serous threats on his life, advising him to steer clear of the forthcoming state assembly election in his own interest.”
The letter also alleged that the home village of their principal “has been noticing strange movements in and around his residence forcing him to be moving from one village to the other.”
