Less than 48 hours to Enugu state governorship and House of Assembly election, the Ezeagu local government chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has collapsed their structure to support the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chima Obieze.
Obieze is contesting for Ezeagu Constituency in the House of Assembly.
Speaking with newsmen, Chiekwe Edward Ezeagu local Chairman of APGA said their decision isn’t unconnected to the sterling leadership qualities of Obieze.
“Rt. Hon. Obieze is a representative extraordinaire and sending him back to Enugu state House of Assembly is a collective responsibility because we’re convinced that he will always put our people first,” Mr. Chiekwe said.
Continuing, he narrated that “even before his election into public office, he has prioritised the welfare of the downtrodden. No widow in Ezeagu will sat that he hasn’t felt the impact of Obieze.
“He has never been found wanting when critical issues affecting the people of Ezeagu is being deliberated in the House.”
He added that what they’ve done is in continuation of what APGA Enugu West did earlier- adopting the governorship candidate of the PDP, Barr. Peter Mbah
