Ekropke Community in Ughelli South Local Government area of Delta state, was on Friday, March 17th, 2023 went into celebration mood as they merry over the appointment of their Industrious Dr. Duke Okoro as the pioneer Rector, Federal Polytechnic Orogun, thanking Sen. Ovie Omo Agege for facilitating the appointment.
The community mapped out today to celebrate the appointment in what they described as a unity party. .
Speaking on behalf of the community, the President General of Ekropke Community, Mr Sunday Ogoyibo expressed Joy and gratitude to Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege for finding their son worthy of the position and favouring the community at large.
Mr. Ogoyibo said ” We the people of Ekropke Community wish to thank President Muhammadu Buhari and the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege for the honour bestowed upon us to be the first pioneer Rector, Federal Polytechnic Orogun Delta State.
“We are happy as a Community, as you can see, there’s merriment and excitement from all members of our community and it has been like this since the news of the appointment came. We set today aside to celebrate this great privilege given to our community.
“We equally thank the almighty God through whom all this become possible and we’re certain our son will deliver because his appointment amounts to pointing a square peg in a square hole.”
