The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has won Enugu South and Nkanu East local government areas while Labour Party won Igboeze South local government in the ongoing governorship election in Enugu State.
According to the results announced, the PDP won Enugu South with 10557 votes while Labour came second with 7438 votes. The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA came third with 3110 votes while the All Progressives Congress, APC, got a paltry 560 votes.

The story is the same for PDP in Nkanu East as the party garnered 30350 votes while the Labour Party came a very distant 2nd with 1855 votes, the APC scored 448 votes while APGA got 188 votes.
Nkanu East is the local government of the PDP governorship candidate.

However, fortune smiled on the Labour Party in Igboeze South as they won the local government with 9680 votes, the PDP came second with 4691 votes while APC came third with 927 votes and APGA garnered 246 votes.
