The Youths of Isi-Uzo have congratulated the Governor-elect, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mba over his victory in the March 18 gubernatorial election in Enugu State.

The Youths also appreciated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a “reliable voting system with the use of BVAS which further encourages the electorate to vote en mass.”

Isi-Uzo is the local government area of the Labour Party governorship candidate, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga.

In a statement signed by the SPA Youth Affairs to the Chairman of Isi-Uzo, Mr. Ebuka Onah, they also congratulated the youths of Isi-Uzo for the peaceful conduct during the electioneering period.

“We need to generally appreciate everyone/agencies/parties that took part in the just concluded election as everyone has comported themselves in a civil manner in order to avoid crises, witness free, fair and credible election as we hope for further improvement on the 2023 general election,” he said.

According to him, Enugu State remains one of the peaceful states in Nigeria and however, urged all parties to continue to maintain the peace the state is enjoying.

“As Enugu remains one of the most peaceful state in our dear country, we also urge all parties to continue to maintain the peace we’re enjoying,” he said.

The Youths also expressed optimism that the Governor-elect will perform well, stressing that, “Over the years, he has maintained his position as a principled politician, identifying with popular beliefs concerning the masses.

“He has always been at the forefront of the promotion of active participation of women and youth in the Nigerian democratic process, he has a reputation for generosity, supporting education for the underprivileged and health care delivery services for free.

“The emergence of Peter Ndubuisi Mba as Governor will definitely mark the dawn of a new era of economic, social, and security development of Enugu State

“We are quite hopeful that there will be all-around progress in human resource development, empowerment, and general advancement in all spheres of human endeavour”.
