The Enugu SME Center has announced their readiness to hold an intensive, comprehensive training programmes for residents of the state, especially the youths that wish to lean new skills.
Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on SMEs Development and Director General, Enugu SME Centre, Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, said the training will be in partnership with ITF-NECA Technical Skill Development (TSDP) in collaboration with C-STEMP Skills Training Center and COPEN Academy.
According to Chilo-Offiah, the exercise will “offer a comprehensive 4 Months Training for prospective Construction Artisans in Enugu State and the trainees would receive instructions in line with our training partner’s worldclass National Operating Standard training models of blending instruction with practical training as well as incorporation of an apprenticeship system in collaboration with our industry partners.”
The training would focus on the following key skillset:
– Plumbing Installation and Maintenance
– Electrical Installation and Maintenance
– Tiling and Decorative Stone Works
– Painting and Decoration
“Eligibility for this program is strictly for individuals between the ages of 18-35 years, with females being encouraged to apply as the training is slated to start before end of the month,” he said.
