A House of Representatives Member-elect from Enugu State under the platform of the Labour Party, Hon. Stainless Nwodo has declared his support for Hon. Abbas Tajudeen for Speaker of the 10th Assembly,
The Ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, after its National Working Committee meeting on Monday, nominated Godswill Akpabio, a former minister of Niger Delta affairs, as president of the senate, while a ranking member of House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, was nominated for speaker of the Green Chamber.
The spokesperson of the APC, Felix Morka, said the party also nominated Barau Jibrin, senator representing Kano north, as deputy senate president, and Benjamin Kalu, current house spokesperson, as deputy speaker.
Reacting to the nomination by the ruling party, Hon. Stainless Nwodo who will be representing Igboetiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly, called on his colleagues to support Hon. Abbas.
According to him, Hon. TJ Abbas as he’s fondly called, has the “needed leadership prowess needed to galvanize members towards healthy relationship with the executive for sustainable national development.
“He is experienced, detribalized and the face of Unity which our country needs now more than ever.”
