Recall that on 26th February, 2023, Hon. Stainless Nwodo of the Labour Party won and was announced the winner of Igbo-Etiti/ Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency seat of Enugu State to replace Hon. (Dr.) Martins Oke of the people’s Democratic Party.
Hon. Stainless’ victory elicited wide jubilation and tears of joy among the constituents who hitherto have enjoyed no iota of quality representation from Hon Martins Okey throughout his wasted eight years in the hallowed green Chambers of the National Assembly. Consequently, the constituents roundly rejected him at the polls and are optimistically looking forward to a new lease of quality representation from the new member-elect, Hon. Stainless Nwodo; all thanks to the OBIdient Movement.
Unfortunately, Hon. Martins Oke is yet to accept the realities of now. Enugu State is in dire need of people of the likes of Hon. Stainless Nwodo for good governance and quality representation as examplified in the days of His Excellency, Barr. Sullivan Chime.
In his desperation to return to the House of Representatives against the common Will and aspirations of the good people of Igbo Etiti/ Uzouwani Federal Constituency, Hon. Martins went to Tribunal to arms-twist the justices and pervert justice under the pretence of “going to court to contest the result of the election”.
Though it is his inalienable right to seek solace in the judiciary to satisfy his vainglorious appetite for power, but it’s quite disheartening and unimaginable the extent Hon. Martins Oke can go to procure blood tainted dubious evidence to pursue his imaginary case in the court.
Can anybody with fear of God imagine that Hon. Martins Oke in his last minute desperation connived with the another powerful leader in the state (whose name we will reveal soon if they continue on this inglorious path) to go to the Enugu State Examination Development Centre (EDC) of the Ministry of Education to erase the name of Hon. Stainless Nwodo from the register of those with certified copy of First School Leaving Certificate as basis to nullify his victory from the Court?
Evidenced information available to us reveals that they had earlier approached some staff of the CDC to carry out the hatchet job. However, those approached blatantly refused their dirty offer, on the ground that Hon. Stainless Nwodo has authentic primary school certificate and cannot be changed. Consequently, their jobs were terminated on the directive of this powerful Enugu politician, while the likes of Chukwudi Ugwuona and two others were summarily transferred out from their department and were replaced by those who were willing to carry out the dirty job. Go and verify this!
Worst still, Mr. Emma Ezugwu who was the Chief Registrar was summarily removed and sent on compulsory retirement and was replaced immediately with Mr. Cyril Ikechukwu Eze on 10th May, 2023 by 10pm. Same night, Cyril Ezugwu and his cohorts on the order of the same “Powerful Politician”, wrote a counter letter to invalidate the earlier certified copy of the Primary School Leaving Certificate issued to Hon. Stainless Nwodo by Enugu State Examination Development Centre (EDC) of the Ministry of Education.
This evil must not stand. The Governor-elect of Enugu State, H.E Peter Mba must be in the know of the characters he will soon be working with. If this day-light robbery and brazen power drunkenness could be exercised by one man, Mbah has his job cut out for him obviously.
Hon. Stainless Nwodo must now take note that the entirety of the present state power is ominously up against him. The good people of Enugu State must also know that bad days of the use of raw power against lawful citizens are in sight. All well meaning Nigerians of goodwill must also take note of the early ungodly signs of man’s inhumanity to his fellow human beings and resolve to stand up against this high level desperation and intimidation of the weak.
As a concerned citizen of Enugu State who is privy to this charade going on, I feel obliged to bring this to the knowledge of all and sundry. Necessary actions must be taken to resist every attempt to STEAL through the backdoor the mandate and overwhelming confidence reposed on Hon. Stainless Nwodo by the good people of Igbo Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency of Enugu State. I also request the relevant authorities to investigate the credibility of this information.
The Nigerian Bar Association should swiftly investigate the shameful roles played by Barrister Sunday Odo who is Dr. Marthins’ surrogate. His compounding unethical roles in all this shameful acts of dishonour is capable of bringing the revered legal institutions to a state of disrepute.
Finally, Marthins Okey and his enablers should know that the mandate given to Hon. Stainless Nwodo belongs to the OBIdients family worldwide and they will stop at nothing in securing their God’s given mandate by standing on the side of truth.
May I also personally advise Marthins Oke to look elsewhere to engage himself positively as we understand his pains arising from his abysmal failure in the last election.
