“For Peter Mbah to have the money to implement his campaign promises, money must come into Enugu from somewhere and that’s why we’re here. We’ll create the money and Ndi Enugu will make money for themselves.”

“We’ll bring in hard currencies into this state and people will go back to farming, ICT and stop Internet fraud because they’ve seen a better here. Just like Mbah’s mantra, Enugu’s tomorrow here.

He further assured that “Peter Mbah is going to run a people driven government and not a PDP driven government.”

In his speech, Mr Godson Azu, CEO Carter & Merger Consult, United Kingdom who attended the event with his country director and other officials, said his company is into “promotion of agriculture which is the new money for Nigeria because we won’t be depending on oil in the future.”
The new money is agriculture; Agroproduce, Agrotech and we need to be well positioned to compete in the emerging markets in Africa.”

He disclosed the opportunities that abound in Mushrooms, vegetables, palm oil, groundnuts production and they could be a great money spinner.

On why he want to partner with Enugu State government, Mr. Azu said the state needs to key into the opportunity in the United Kingdom as the UK begins to look into the African agribusiness following their exit from Europe.

“We want to see that thing that we can produce in Enugu that will be of export standard. We want to put in place, the enabling environment produce these things and position Enugu to be able to tap into the large market.

“We’re hopeful that Mbah as a businessman, will key into this opportunity.”

Another potential investor, Miss Seun Bamidele, Founder and CEO Welcome2Africa United Kingdom; an agriculture and maritime investment company with over 10billion naria investment commitment in Nigeria in the first quarter of this year alone, said Enugu is a state with so many opportunities and they’re here to show these opportunities to the people.

“Enugu is a state with great many opportunities especially in the agricultural sector and we want to see how we can show these opportunities to the world.

“Currently, we’ve a project we’re working on with Sochi farms and we’ve been able to raise $6m for their poultry farm. We also offer research and investment services.”

She assured that they’re ready to work with the government.
