Speaker Femi Gbejabiamila has reacted to his appointment by Bola Tinubu as his Chief of Staff, assuring that he will work with the President in discharging the enormous tasks ahead for the nation.
Gbajabiamila’s appointment was announced on Friday alongside that of Senator George Akume, who was named Secretary to the Government of the Federation In a statement issued by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye.
In a message on his Twitter handle shortly after he was announced as the Chief of Staff to the President, the Speaker said he will do his best to assist the President in delivering the dividends of democracy.
The tweet reads: “Thank you Mr. President for finding me worthy of being your Chief of Staff.
“Having spent the last 20 years in the Nigerian Parliament, and after winning my 6th term election into the National Assembly, I shall work with Mr President in discharging the enormous task ahead of him for the peace and progress of the federal republic of Nigeria.
“I shall give my best when I take office on June 14, 2023 as reflected in Mr. President’s official letter.”
