The Department of State Services, DSS, has invited the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for interrogation.
Bawa reportedly arrived at the Secret Service Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday night.
Bawa was suspended by president Bola Tinubu on Wednesday night and was directed to immediately handover the affairs of the Office to the Head of operations, Mr. Mohammed Abba.
The DSS in a statement via their twitter account on Wednesday, said Mr. Bawa was invited by the secrete police in relation to an ongoing investigation.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago.
“The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him,” a statement signed by Peter Afunanya the spokesperson of the DSS reads.
