Enugu police command say one double-barreled locally fabricated gun with one live and expended cartridges each, have been recovered from escaping armed robbery suspects in the State.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe in a statement issued on Sunday night said their operatives serving in New Haven Division, made the recovery at New Artisan Bridge, off Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway on Friday, 16th June, 2023.
According to the statement; “The hoodlums abandoned the firearm with the ammunition on sighting the Operatives, who immediately went on their trail, following the receipt of credible information that the miscreants were sighted in the location perfecting their criminal plans.
“Meanwhile, discreet investigative actions to fish out the fleeing criminal elements are underway. Further development shall be communicated.”
