Peter Obi and the Labour Party, on Wednesday, presented three more witnesses at the tribunal in continuation of the petition challenging the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu at the presidential election petition court (PEPC), taking the number of witnesses to 10.
Counsel to the petitioner, Livy Uzoukwu, SAN, presented Chibuike Ugwuoke, a cyber security expert, Onoja Sunday, an election observer and Kefas Iya, an ad hoc staff as its witnesses.
However, lead counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Abubakar Mahmoud, pleaded with the court that Mr Ugwuoke, an expert witness, be cross-examined Thursday, June 22. He said the petitioners had just served the witness statement few minutes. The court accepted and adjourned until June 22.
Meanwhile, after the cross-examination of the other witnesses, the petitioners also tendered the total number of registered voters, PVCs collected in 32 states and IREV reports of Benue, Cross River, Lagos and Gombe states as evidence.
