Mr. Sunday Igwesi, the only person killed alongside the Enugu East senatorial candidate, Barr. Oyibo Chukwu is set for burial today.
Late Igwesi, a native of umumba ndiaga ugwuaji Awkunanaw in Enugu South local government area of Enugu State was gruesomely murdered with his principal, Oyibo Chukwu along Amechi Awkunanaw road on the 22nd February, 2023.
The suspected assassins incinerated Oyibo Chukwu and Igwesi inside the Sienna car they were driving in.
He was the 4th son of Chief Elder Matthias igwesi a retired civil servant and Ezinne Mrs Mercy Uzoamaka igwesi, a retired teacher.
Sunday before his date was a successful business man and 4th year medical student.
He is the trusted personal adviser to Chief Barr Oyibo Chukwu. On the fateful day they were murdered, he was alone with oyibo Chukwu.
He was aged 33 and will be buried at his hometown; Umumba Ndiaga, Ugwuaji Awkunanaw, Enugu South local government area.
