On Friday, 28th July, 2023, the Enugu Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah through a letter, conveyed the list of his commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly.
In the letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, the Governor nominated 15 persons for clearance on the first batch.
The list contains the daughter of former Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime, son of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, former commissioners, etc.

2. Mrs. Ngozi Eni— Nkanu East
3. Prince Lawrence Eze (Prince of Mburumbu)— Nkanu East
4. Professor Sam Ugwu— Isi-Uzo

6. Dr. Kingsley Ude – Nkanu West
7. Professor Emmanuel I. Obi— Nkanu West
8. Deacon Okey Ogbodo— Enugu South
