Dele Momodu, Director of Strategic Communications of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 election has claimed that President Bola Tninubu’s ministerial nominees are unknown and worse than the former President Muhammadu Buhari government’s cabinet.
Mr Momodu said this while appearing on the latest edition of a Podcast, Mic On hosted by Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Tv
He described Tinubu’s ministerial list as disappointing and showing that Tinubu’s government did not do its job well.
He said “most of the people appointed now, I don’t know them”.
“For any leader to succeed, he must look at his team and what I’m seeing now is worse than Buhari’s team,” he said.
“You can’t say that today, somebody is on her way to screen you remove her, that’s disgraceful, it means you didn’t do your due diligence before appointing people.
“In the days of Okonjo-Iweala, Ezekwesili, Nuhu Ribadu, original El-Rufai when he was a minister under PDP was original El-Rufai,” he said.
An unfortunate comment by you Sir, to perform or serve Nigeria ministerial nominees cannot be validated by you knowing them, who were El Rufai and Ribadu before Obasanjo brought him on board. I see that you want Nigeria stagnated by ignoring growing stars. If there is a compelling reason to withdraw a nomination and it is done promptly, it shows courage and leadership which the president has not lacked. Let us eschew bitterness and support the President for the sake of the country.
