Ogunmuyiwa Gbolahan also known as Master Gas has disclosed that the Police Campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices, POCACOV, has all it takes to lead the campaign for ethical conduct, moral and societal rebirth for a functional and greater community.

Ogunmuyiwa who commended the Nigeria Police Force for coming up with a community driven program disclosed this in Abuja over the weekend during the commencement of TSCON-POCACOV Taekwondo Classes for children, young persons as well as adults.

Ogunmuyiwa, a prince of Ake Royal Family, Abeokuta, the Chairman of the Taekwondo Supporters Club of Nigeria (TSCON) FCT chapter, Head of Coaching of Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria, Embassy of South Korea, Abuja and former Secretary of Nigeria Taekwondo Black Belt College amongst others, maintained that as A POCACOV Stakeholders he has followed the campaign and can attest to their life changing activities.

He added that TSCON-POCACOV Taekwondo Classes has what it takes to change mindsets and attitudes, helping to build skills and making our young persons national assets for socio economic developments and also cutting the supply chains and conveyor belts of our young minds possible recruitment into membership of unlawful societies and organized criminal groups.

In his words: “Every POCACOV activity focuses on societal and ethical rebirth and it gives hope for a better Nigerian Society”.

He added that TSCON-POCACOV TAEKWONDO Classes for children, young person and Adult in Abuja and its environs will work in accordance with POCACOV framework to Instill positive behaviours in children, youths and adolescents for a responsible and self-reliant life, using the Instrumentality of Taekwondo as a community sports with high moral code to build a younger generation of patriotic Nigerians (Value Reorientation).

 

Aleady a Curriculum for classes has been developed in this regard for it sustainance and result oriented and we are going to follw the program timetable and curriculum and to enable us be able to measure impact of the classes/evaluation in due course.The classes for now will be running on saturdays at designated centres and its free of charge.

In his remark, the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP Ebere Amaraizu thanked the Taekwondo Grandmaster/Instructor and appreciated the efforts of Taekwondo Supporters Club of Nigeria (TSCON) in driving POCACOV inspire activity to promote positive behaviours amongst young minds.

He however solicited for their assistance in creation of more designated centres to capture broadspectrum of children and young persons within FCT Schools and Communities.

POCACOV has been involved with engagement of young minds, inspiring them for positive behaviours, changing their attitude and mindsets as well as creating platforms for life changing opportunities for them to thrive for a functional community and greater Nation through stakeholders and multi Agencies Collaboration
