The Presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar will today, 5th October 2023, hold a world press conference.
This was announced by a chieftain of the PDP and the director of strategic communications in Atiku campaign council, Dele Momodu.
According to the announcement, the international press conference will be streamed on the social media platforms of the former Vice President and will also be covered live by both International and Local Media Networks.
Though not stated, the international conference might not be unconnected to the recent discovery about the academic records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Chicago State University.
Through his lawyers, Atiku sought these key things – an example of a CSU diploma issued in 1979; Tinubu’s diploma issued in 1979; example of a CSU diploma that “contains the same font, seal, signatures and wording” as Tinubu’s diploma issued in June 1979 and CSU documents certified and produced by Jamar Orr, an associate general counsel at CSU at the time.
He had argued that there are discrepancies in the certificate Tinubu submitted to the INEC which should have rendered him ineligible to contest the election.
The proceeding revealed that the transcript used by the President to gain admission into the US university bears a female. Also, there are different dates of birth in the documents.
