POLITICS WITHOUT GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA.
Nigerians hardly see governance in Nigeria. Nigeria is said to be practicing democracy. It appears Nigeria politics is deadly. Most people in politics are just desperately deadly. They lacked basic fundamental principles of democracy and good governance.
Most of them are just selfish in the extreme. There is no humanity in most of them. That is why the only thing most of them know is looting formula. Most of them are completely bereft of ideas of governance. In Nigerian politics issues are not discussed. Lies are tools for ascending to political power. Most of these politicians are liars. They know that their Governors are failures but they forced them on the people.
They deceived and deceived to acquire power. Today political class has almost destroy democracy and all institutions of governance in Nigeria. Governments in Nigeria exhibit great irresponsibility to welfare of Nigerians. Nigerians are at the mercy of their own government. No good hospitals. No good roads. No social security and amenities in the giant of Africa.
Those manning our institutions have compromised everything. Just see the rate of one chance taxis in Abuja. Everyone is lawlessness. Government has failed Nigerians. See how many people are losing their lives daily. Lives mean nothing to our government. The duty of government is to protect lives and properties. But no life is safe. Nigerians are at the mercies of God.
Security agencies have failed Nigerians. No CCTV is functioning in Abuja. Governance is not about noise making. Governance is not about political vengeance. Governance is not about ganging the press and the freedom of the people to express their views. In Abuja, FCT, hospitals are just mere consulting clinics. No good medical facilities. No humility in leaders.
What kind of country is this. Lives are daily lost for lack of good governance. Those who are paid to protect us are just hopeless and helpless. Thugs and thuggery have become lucrative businesses. People are daily afraid to travel.
No one is ready to do what is right. Lawlessness everywhere. Citizens are lawless. Government is lawless. Everyone does what he or she likes and we see nothing wrong with what is wrong. Haba what kind of country is this. In fact politics in Nigeria has not advanced the welfare and wellbeing of vast majority of Nigerians.
Only few are beneficiaries of our wealth. The civil and public services department of government hardly put in any good work for the good of Nigerians. Nigerian system does not have good plans for tomorrow. Health care facilities are almost dead.
People are dying daily because of lack of health facilities. Nigerians in both town and villages live in abject poverty and squalor. Nobody cares for anybody. The humanity in us is dead. Wickedness in high places. How did we get here. Some governors are just wicked. Nothing to show in governance. Yet they go around scot-free. No repercussions. Law and order are relegated to the background. What a shame.
We just have politics without governance. We have politics without humanity. We have politics without due process. We have politics rooted in political rascality in the name of democracy. We have politics with no national goals and plans. Even when governments planned programmes for the people, those executing it will not allow the real people to benefit. We have politics that is bereft of good governance and ideology for the good of the people.
We have weaponized poverty as official political ideologies to retain positions in governments to be worshipped by majority of the poor and vulnerable people. Welcome to Nigeria where wickedness in politics has chased away good men and women from the field of government and governance.
Let me conclude that corruption in Nigeria is everywhere. Even the followership are not freed from corruption. People demand for bribes to vote. What a shame. Corruption is everywhere
