Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah

The Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, comprising former Speakers, Principal Officers, have extolled the leadership model of Governor Peter Mbah, while congratulating him for his victory at the polls on March 18, 2023; his victory at the Enugu State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal on September 21, 2023; amongst others.

The ex-lawmakers in a press statement released on Monday, said they found Mbah to be a “visionary”, adding that “he is a thoughtful, reflective and an imaginative leader. The members agreed that the the policies and programmes that are espoused by the Enugu State government are disruptive, innovative and endearing.”

The statement which was signed by Rt. Hon. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, PhD; the Chairman, Former Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly opined that “It is disheartening that our neighbours, Ebonyi and Anambra States have left Enugu State behind on road infrastructure.

“A major consolation is that the Governor has recently launched a robust Enugu State road construction and rehabilitation revolution; the first of its kind in Enugu State. It is hoped that before the end of the year, 2023, the people of Enugu State will heave a sigh of relief.

“Furthermore, Mbah’s vision intends to leverage on the huge horizontal interjurisdictional externalities as a result of the contiguity of Awka Capital Territory, Anambra State with Ugwuoba, a boundary community in Enugu State. Unfortunately, the previous administrations in Enugu State could not tap into this amazing opportunity; a low hanging fruit for that matter.

“Members enthused that Governor Peter Mbah deserves the support of the good people of Enugu for optimal achievement.”
