The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP against the September 6 judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), affirming the election of President Bola Tinubu.
In the lead judgment read by Justice John Okoro, which has so far been supported by Justices Uwani Abba-Aji and Mohammed Garba Lawal, the court resolved all the seven issues identified for determination against the appellants.
The court upheld the judgment of the PEPC and proceeded to affirm Tinubu’s victory.
The supreme court held that non Transmission of election results electronically and 25% in the FCT isn’t mandatory to be elected president.
On the forfeiture of $460,000 by Tinubu the Supreme Court said it was introduced through their Reply, not in their petition
