The court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has nullified the election of Hon. Bright Emeka Ngene, the Labour Party lawmaker representing Enugu South Urban in the State House of Assembly.
The Appellate court upheld the decision of the Tribunal which had nullified the election on 13th September, 2023.

Justice Abubakar averred that the number of votes credited to the winner of the elections were less than the number of disenfranchised voters in some parts of the constituency.
The appeal court in a ruling delivered on Tuesday, agreed with the ruling of the lower court and dismissed the appeal of the Labour Party candidate.

Over 4,000 persons registered in the area while the margin of lead by the Labour Party candidate is over 3,000.
