The Independent National Electoral Commission Head of the Department of Voter Education and Publicity in Imo State Emanuella Ben-Opara, has left so many viewers wondering what could be happening ahead of the poll as she walked out of live interview with Arise Tv.

Mrs. Ben-Opara was set to be interviewed on Arise Tv’s Prime Time show by 8pm. She was already seated in the makeshift studio at the INEC headquarters when the anchor, Charles Aniagolu was laying the foundation for the discuss when she stormed out of her seat.

It’s not clear if she was miffed by the comment surrounding the calls for the removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs Roseline Agu whom the opposition parties said they don’t have confidence in her leadership.

While Mr. Aniagolu was still making the introductory remarks, Ben-Opara walked out and said she can’t continue with the interview for personal reasons.

The call for the removal of the REC isn’t unconnected to the conduct of the commission in the last general Elections where the opposition parties accused her of bias.

INEC has also insisted that there’s no enough evidence for her removal and as such, she will be in charge of tomorrow’s poll in Imo state.
