The Labour Party (LP) and her candidate, Beatrice Itubo, has withdrawn their petition against the election of Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The party’s governorship candidate, Beatrice Itubo, also pledged to support Governor Fubara’s government for the progress of Rivers State.
Earlier, the Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal and the Appeal Court, Abuja, has rejected the petition brought forward by Beatrice Itubo, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State.
Speaking on Saturday during a chat with Channels Television in her Ogbakiri country home of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Itubo said the move followed deliberations with Governor Fubara.
The synergy between Fubara and Itubo is the latest plot in Rivers State politics amid the political crisis rocking the oil rich state.
