The member representing Igbo-Eze North I Constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Ejike Eze, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on his victory at the Supreme Court.
Journalist101 recalls that the Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the election of Peter Mbah as the governor of Enugu State.
The apex court, in a unanimous decision delivered by a five-member panel of justices on Friday, dismissed an appeal filed by the Labour Party and its candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, challenging the outcome of the governorship election held on March 18, 2023.
Both the Election Petitions Tribunal and the Appeal Court had upheld the declaration of Mbah as the winner of the March 18th Governorship poll conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In a congratulatory message made available to Journalist101, Hon. Eze of the Labour Party and the Chief Whip of the state Assembly, said governor Mbah’s victory is “a testament of your dedication, leadership prowess and your unwavering commitment to the people of Enugu State.”
The lawmaker expressed confidence that the judicial victory will “mark the beginning of a successful and transformative tenure, bringing prosperity and progress to Enugu State under your capable guidance.”
