Prominent Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa has declared that the Bola Tinubu presidency has failed Nigerians within its first 7 months in power.
In a hard-hitting statement signed by him in Lagos, Adegboruwa said the recent massacre of about 200 people in Plateau State shows that governance has collapsed under the current administration.
Lambasting President Tinubu for hosting governors in his Lagos home barely 24 hours after the Plateau killings, the lawyer said the president should have visited the affected communities instead.
According to Adegboruwa, it is shocking for Plateau Governor Mutfwang to celebrate Christmas in Lagos when his people are being “killed in droves.”
The senior advocate accused the Federal Government of turning national security into a scam used to siphon public funds without solving the worsening violence.
He asserted that beyond failing to tackle insecurity, the Tinubu government has also inflicted economic suffering on Nigerians through failed policies that have spiked inflation.
Adegboruwa subsequently called on President Tinubu to resign “if there is no genuine programme to lift Nigerians out of the present economic woes.”
The scathing criticism signals growing public anger over the current administration’s handling of security and economic challenges since it took over on May 29, 2023
