Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has named Africa footballer of the year and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen and 25 others for next year’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

The 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) begins from Saturday, 13 January to 11 February in Cote d’Ivoire.

The full list of 25 Eagles players released by Peseiro also has Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho and his teammate, Wilfed Ndidi.

The list has three goalkeepers, such as Francis Uzoho, who plies his trade at Omonia FC, Cyprus; Stanley Nwabili, who plies his trade at Chippa United, South Africa and Olorunleke Ojo, Enyimba FC.

The list has sever forward. They include Ahmed Musa, who is the oldest player in the team and plies his trade at Sivasspor K, Turkey; Sadiq Umar, who plies his trade at Real Sociedad, Spain and Moses Simon, who plays for FC Nantes, France.

Others are Ademola Lookman, who plays for Atalanta FC in Italy; Samuel Chukwueze, who plays for AC Milan, Italy and Victor Boniface, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, Germany.

The midfielders include Raphael Onyedika, who plays for Club Brugge, Belgium; Joe Ayodele-Aribo who plays for Southampton FC, England; Frank Onyeka, who plays for Brentford FC, England and Alex Iwobi, who plies his trade at Fulham FC, England.
