…Says, Everything about Tansian University is false
The chairman of Ranent Industries Company Ltd Oba, Idemili South LGA of Anambra State , Chief Rojenny Ezeowuka has again written to the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Prof Chris Jibreel Maiyaki, notifying the Commission of successfully ejection of Tansian University Umunya from its Oba Campus which was reportedly rented for purpose of securing operational licence in 2007.
Recalled that the Oba Campus of Tansian University has been under contention since inception of the university and recently Anambra High Court ordered the University to vacate the premises immediately and pay Ranent Industries Company Ltd accrued rent debts.
Ezeowuka letter was a follow-up to earlier petition to the Commission urging them to “desist from referring and/or addressing the properties and premises of Ranent Industries Company Ltd Oba, Idimili South LGA in Anambra State as a Take-off Campus and/or a campus of Tansian University.”
The petition dated December 27, 2023, reads:
“In my previous correspondences to you Sir, I briefed you about my long impasse with Tansian University, Umunya. You will recall that in my petition dated September 27, I referred and attached copy of a Consent Judgment binding between my company, Ranent Industries Company Ltd and Tansian University regarding ownership of the properties called and referred to as Takeoff Campus/Oba Campus of Tansian University. Again, in the referred petition, a copy of Anambra State High Court judgment which ordered Tansian University to pay me arrears of rents and immediately vacate the Take –Off campus in Oba was attached. The PROPERTY WAS NEVER SOLD TO TANSIAN UNIVERSITY. IT WAS RENTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECURING UNIVERSITY LICENCE BY THE FACILITATOR LATE MSGR JOHN BOSCO AKAM.
“I consider myself duty bound to bring to the notice of your good office that Renant Industries Company Ltd has taken all necessary action and has successfully recovered its landed property/facilities housing the Take-off/Oba Campus of the University. Therefore Tansian University no longer has OBA CAMPUS. THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN RECOVERED AND SEALED AND NO TRESPASS.
“It is proper that you are informed and guided against visiting or addressing the premises and property of Renant Industries Company Ltd as a Campus of Tansian University.
“I also wish to bring to your attention, for necessary action, the willful distortions, deliberate misrepresentation and wrongful information apriori of Tansian University’s statutory position of Oba Take-Off Campus of Tansian, in a manner detrimental with consequences.
“I was informed that NUC team shall be visiting Oba campus for the purpose of Accreditation of the Nursing Programs. Don’t be deceived by false claims of insecurity and persuaded to seriously compromise. Falsehood pervades the total atmosphere of Tausian University.
“Panicked at your impending accreditation however and, worried by their inability to fashion another disingenuous way out of the logjam, the university authorities have gone to the ridiculous extent of hiring medical and laboratory equipment with intent to present same to your respected team as equipment in a make-believe but soon lo disappear. This is happening regardless of the fact that each student pays hugely for nursing.
“To worsen the situation, not less than 85% of all the equipment including chemicals and reagents in all the laboratories, were hired from dealers and sellers for the sole intention of misleading the accreditation team !!
“One puzzle that your team will probably be cracking its eminent individual as well as collective medulla oblongata over by now is how the university authorities have been able to cram nearly one thousand students into less the seven small classrooms, even against the admission quota by Nursing Council of Nigeria.
“It will also be good to inform you that lectures hardly take place because the school is desperately short of academic staff across the broad spectrum of its activities. Fully complementing this academic aberration is the intolerable condition under which the students are compelled to live. Even more unendurable is the absence of toilets and water as well as the endless power outage in a situation of virtually non-existent alternative source of energy (the school is heavily indebted to PHCN and is often disconnected from public power supply).
“The personnel you team must avoid are:
First, is a miscreant who labels himself as Bro Innocent Ukeh. He is a most flippant, corrupt, irresponsible and a habitual liar. He has established pathological lying and forgery as norms. He is visibly using the University to promote his business interests and ignores general interest of the University. He has thugs imported en-masse. This pack of hoodlums was assembled by and owns their allegiance to him He is a highly distinguished manipulator, a loving lothario and jack of all trades, who, if the Vice-Chancellor were to be frank to himself, is actually more, powerful than him.
“Secondly, one Fr. Obiorah Ike, who arrogated himself as the University lawyer, known to disobeying ecclesiastical authority is a handy conscienceless priest who surreptitiously meandered himself into the board university. Nothing in his antecedents therefore, prepared Fr. Obiorah Ike for the throne being a board member of Tansian University. He has blatantly obstructed justice for people who were badly hurt by the University.
“Thirdly, a confused fellow in the deadly cabal is Rev. Fr. Lawrence Nwankwo, he lacks both training and experience relevant directly or otherwise to superintend over a University especially crises-torn Tansian University, which requires exceptional skills, excellent training and uncommonly stable temperament.
“Fourthly, Rev. Daniel Igwilo’s suitability for the office of Registrar of Tansian University is ZERO!!! He has no previous of university settings.
“ifthly, The Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Cardinal Peter Okpalaeke has continually tell trivial misstatements to shade the truth, to avoid embarrassment, pontificates serious lies of the wrongful ongoings in Tansian University which corroded and undermined the existence of the institution.
“Lastly, the purported Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Theresa Nkechi Obiekezie has left her primary assignment as Pro+Chancellor and runs the university as a Vice –Chancellor whereas there is substantive Vice-Chancellor; that is administrative aberration in university system. Workers have continued to insist that she should be sacked for alleged misappropriation, mismanagement, diversion and conversion of N9m allocated to her Rev. Fr. Lawrence Nwankwo without due process.
