The candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections, Omoyele Sowore has said that the decision of the Supreme Court on the Kano governorship dispute was out of fear and not what they wanted.

Journalist101 recalls that the Supreme Court earlie today, upheld the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), setting aside the rulings of the Tribunal and Appeal Court which declared Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the election.

Sowore in a post on his X account, said the judgement was out of fear of the consequences of ruling otherwise.

“They’ve affirmed Kano for NNPP not because they wanted to but because they dread the consequences!” he wrote.
