A 66-year-ole man identified as Jonathan Emejulu and another male adult have been arrested by operatives of Enugu State over alleged damage of a part of the perimeter fence of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
The news of his arrest is contained in a terse statement by the command’s spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, on Sunday in Enugu.
According to the police spokesperson, Mr Emejulu was arrested by police operatives alongside another male suspect on Sunday.
Ndukwe said that exhibits recovered from the suspects included: two pickaxes, five Monday hammers, two shovels and reinforcement bars.
“They shall be arraigned in court and prosecuted once investigations are concluded. Further development will be communicated on the matter,” he said
