It was jubilation galore at Eke ward Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State as Pastor Tony Amalu announced his return to the All Progressive Congress before the numerous overjoyed members of the APC in the area.
Pastor Amalu was warmly welcomed by the APC Chairman Udi local Government Area, Hon Stanley Nebo and the Ekeh Ward Chairman of the party, Hon.Chibuzo Onyeoma, Women groups and other party faithfuls at the party’s office in the ward.
In his welcome speech, Hon. Nebo described Amalu as a grassroot mobiliser, an astute politician and a valuable asset to the party, urging him to deploy these qualities for the rebirth of the party in Eke.
The party chairman further noted that the elaborate celebration is necessary because the returnee is a big fish and can’t be welcomed back to the party via the backdoor.
Pst. Tony Amalu who returned with about Two Hundred and fifty supporters including women and youths promised to bring innovative ideas that will move the party forward.
He thanked the State Party Chairman, Barr Ugo Agballa for his quality leadership and the opportunity given to him. He further expressed his satisfaction with the President Tinubu led federal government initiatives while calling on the Enugu State government and the entire South Easterners to jettison sentiments and l align with the federal government in other to attract meaningful development to the good people of Enugu State and the entire region.
